Let's take a look at how our figgy little friend is doing.
Looks like he'll be ready by June! Yes, Spring is here. On the other hand, when I last checked around mid-day, it was exactly one degree warmer in Boston than it was here. So there.

My grandparents used to have a fig tree, and we ate them in the summer with cream and a little brown sugar. I miss that...
Wow, I've been back in Arkansas for way too long. I had forgotten the fig tree that was such a part of my everyday vision. That and the avocado tree. I had an orange tree and pomegranite too. I loved living there but missed my family and needed to have more than just friends to be a part of my children's lives.
Sigh.
This brings back memories of my trip to June last year. We spent a lovely day at the Ferry Building Market Place where had champagne, Cow Girl Creamery Cheese ... and figs.
Thanks for the memory! Enjoy those figs ...
It's going to be 70 in Beantown today, m'dear. No figs, but the crocuses are bloomin'. Ran by your place last night (it looked good) and thought of you!
When will Seattle takes its weather back?! Sigh. But figs are definitely something to look forward to.
(this is what the other post said- I accidentally deleted it.)
