Watch it wiggle

Check it out: A San Francisco artist named Elizabeth Hickok (who, incidentally, also moved here from Boston), has sculpted the city out of jello.

That is hilarious. Now me and everyone sitting around me at work has gotten to enjoy this. Incredible! How do people come up with this stuff?

That is one of the stranger things I've ever seen. Wow!

You know, I think she's captured something here, post-Katrina, as the city revisits the threat of a natural disaster. When I hear news reports on "the race to retrofit" or look at sites like 72hours.org, the ground does feel just that unsolid.

Damn. That looks pretty neat. The only thing the city is missing are some mixed-ins like mini-marshmallows and canned fruit salad bits.

Well, the problem there was that the San Francisco Arts Council has a bylaw that you have to use those organic marshmallows from Whole Foods, plus no canned produce, and then the food costs got too high.
